Aug 14, 2009: US Dental Care and United Way Russia host a dental health visit for disadvantaged children

On August 16, 2009, US Dental Care, together with the charitable foundation United Way Russia, will host a dental health visit for disadvantaged children. This charitable event will be supported by Lensmaster, providing invaluable ophthalmologic assistance, in addition to the Expat Salon, The Moscow News and Miss Russia 2009, Sofia Rudieva.

This initiative is significant in promoting and encouraging the idea of corporate charity. As a result of this joint project between US Dental Care and United Way, medical aid will be provided to 20 children from the charitable institution Equilibre-Solidarity. This institution is registered by the United Nations, providing aid and support to citizens of various countries seeking refuge in the Russian Federation.

United Way is a non-commercial charitable organization that finances programs for charitable institutions to ensure social aid to four main groups: orphans and at-risk children; the elderly; disabled adults and children; refugees and the homeless. In 2008 United Way supported 38 Russian charitable institutions, financing 49 projects. United Way would be pleased to invite and organize a visit to Equilibre-Solidarity for those interested.

The main goals of this joint action are to develop the idea of supporting a socially critical charity in Russia and to help children who are in dire need of aid.
