Mar 10, 2010: Round-Table with CEDIPT Chair E. Elin at St. Petersburg Technical Fair

On March 10–12, Lenexpo is traditionally hosting St. Petersburg Technical Fair 2010, a big event involving a representative exhibition, top-level Industrial Congress, Partneriat business contact exchange, and other events and activities.

Within the Fair and its Petersburg Industrial Congress, St. Petersburg Committee for Economic Development, Industrial Policy and Trade and AmCham St. Petersburg co-organized a joint panel discussion “Investment Climate, Competitiveness and Cooperation” featuring Evgeny ELIN, Chairman, St. Petersburg Committee for Economic Development, Industrial Policy and Trade, following the opening plenary session “Modernization & Innovation: Simultaneously or One-at-a-Time?” moderated by Mikhail OSEYEVSKY, Vice Governor of St. Petersburg.

Co-moderated by Evgeny ELIN and Maria CHERNOBROVKINA, the round-table discussed issues of the investment climate — room for improvement at the federal and regional levels; lowering administrative barriers, tax incentives, tariff regulations — and the relationship between manufacturers and suppliers. The meeting also featured a presentation of a new e-system of supplier search.
